Walid Kashash's Interview with the Palestinian Museum, 'Never Part' Exhibition, 2013
This video clip documents Walid Kashash's interview with the Palestinian Museum as part of the "Never Part" project. In this project, the museum aimed to collect stories related to highly cherished and valuable belongings preserved by Palestinians, which serve as epitomes of their connection to their homeland. In this interview, Kashash talks about the initial paintings he created during his youth at the age of 17. As he worked in dusting off artists' studios to immerse himself in the world of art and colours, Kashash secretly painted this artwork using leftover paint from the artists. He was influenced by Van Gogh and the obstacles he encountered on his way to school.
