Nasibeh Idlaby's Interview with the Palestinian Museum, 'Never Part' Exhibition, 2013

This video clip documents Nasibeh Idlaby's interview with the Palestinian Museum as part of the "Never Part" project. In this project, the museum aimed to collect stories related to highly cherished and valuable belongings preserved by Palestinians, which serve as epitomes of their connection to their homeland. Nasibeh Idlaby, born in al-Birwa in 1940, preserved her grandmother's wooden chest- a traditional bridal chest meant for storing tatreez textiles, clothing, and accessories. She shares the story of her and her family's refugee journey during the time of the Nakba in 1948. They fled from al-Birwa and sought refuge in the village of Sha'ab, where they stayed for a week. Afterwards, they fled to the village of Nahf and then to the town of Sajur, until finally settling in Akka after undertaking a refugee journey that encompassed four villages.
