Fawaz Abdel-Rahim's Interview with the Palestinian Museum, 'Never Part' Exhibition, 2013
This video clip documents Fawaz Abdel-Rahim Mithqal's interview with the Palestinian Museum as part of the "Never Part" project. In this project, the museum aimed to collect stories related to highly cherished and valuable belongings preserved by Palestinians, which serve as epitomes of their connection to their homeland. Mithqal, who was born in the displaced village of al-Mujaydal, recounts the details of the aerial bombardment that his village endured during the 1948 Nakba. He shares their refuge in Yafa and obtaining a serial number when the occupation authorities conducted a population census at that time. Mithqal still preserves the census document as a memento.
