Tayseer al-Barghouthi's Interview with the Palestinian Museum, 'Never Part' Exhibition, 2013
This video clip documents Dana Massad's interview with the Palestinian Museum as part of the "Never Part" project. In this project, the museum aimed to collect stories related to highly cherished and valuable belongings preserved by Palestinians, which serve as epitomes of their connection to their homeland. Barghouthi keeps a cane that belonged to a notable figure from the village of Beitello named Ali Abu Salim who was killed in 1936 on charges of collaborating with the British government during the Palestinian division between opposition and supporters. The cane remained in his house until 1965, then it was gifted to Barghouthi in 1981.
