Printed in Arabic, this document shows a letter from Nablus Mayor Bassam Shak'a to Dr Waldheim, Secretary-General of the United Nations, about the difficult conditions political detainees face in the desert prison of Nafha, especially in light of their strike. Shak'a also demands the closure of the prison, meeting striking prisoners' demands and releasing the bodies of shaheeds to their families.
