A Letter from Dick Hudson to Nablus Mayor Bassam Shak'a
Printed in English and headed with Hudson Construction Company, this letter from Dick Hudson to Nablus Mayor Bassam Shak'a sent on 14 June addresses the unfortunate conditions facing Palestinians due to the Israeli Occupation, and informs him that he Americans stand in support of Palestinians and their cause. He also wishes him a speedy recovery and concludes saying that his daughter's husband is Umar ash-Shawa, son of Hashem ash-Shawa from Gaza, explaining that this family relationship has nothing to do with his support of the Cause of Palestine, but rather as a result of research which had his position shifted from supporting Israel to supporting Arabs.
