Letters from Prisoners in Israeli Prisons to Nihad Abughosh, the 1980s
Printed in Arabic, English, and French by the Red Cross International Committee, this document shows a family letter handwritten in Arabic by Palestinian prisoner in Bir al-Sabi Prison Eid Jaber to prisoner Nihad Abughosh in the Mahata Prison in Jordan, through Abughosh's relative prisoner Khaled Abughosh. In the letter, Eid addresses family and personal matters, in addition to the news of prisoners in Israeli prisons, including the sentences of prisoner Maher Sandouka who was sentenced to four years in prison, and Dawood and Helmi as-Salaymeh to six years. He also informs him of the near end of his sentence, two months following the letter.
