Letters from Prisoners in Israeli Prisons to Nihad Abughosh, the 1980s
Printed in Arabic, English, and French by the Red Cross International Committee, this document shows a family letter handwritten in Arabic by Palestinian prisoner in Bir al-Sabi Prison Dawood Ishaq Hujaij to prisoner Nihad Abughosh in the Mahata Prison in Jordan. In the letter, Hujaij talks about exchanging letters with Palestinian prisoners that express the situations they face in prison under repressive prison management despite the geographical location; be it in Jordan or in Israeli. He also asks Abughosh about his social life and well-being in Jordanian prisons and sends him greetings from prisoners in the Beersabe' Prison including Sa'eed Ayyash, Khaled and Awni Abugosh, Khaled az-Zabadeh and Jamal Shaqqo.
