A Photograph of an Inscribed Stone on a Wall in Khan al-Amdan

Taken in the 1990s, this photograph shows an inscribed stone hanging on one of Khan al-Amdan walls in the occupied city of Acre.  It is mentioned that Ahmed Pasha al-Jazzar established Khan al-Amadan in 1785, which consists of two floors resting on granite columns brought from Caesarea, and next to the khan, the clocktower was erected in 1906 on the occasion of the Silver Jubilee of Sultan Abdul Hamid II sitting on the throne, and above the entrance is the emblem of the Ottoman Empire.
