"The Cultural Ties between Israel and the Soviet Union", Conference Speech
Written in Arabic, this archival item shows a speech by a member of the Friendship Association between Israel and the Soviet Union, Abi Shaul, titled “The Cultural Ties between Israel and the Soviet Union”, in which he wrote in depth about how national bonds are formed, and national identities are affected by each other, and addressed the literary production of Jewish writers in the modern era. The end of the speech included a proposal to establish an institute for cultural relations between the Soviets and Israel.
