A Letter from Hanna Nakkara to the Custodian of Absentee Funds, 1951
A letter from Hanna Nakkara, with the power of attorney on behalf of his absentee client Adnan al-Shami, to the Custodian of Absentee Funds in Yafa on 19 September 1951 informing him that his aforementioned client paid 50 liras to the Barclays Bank in Akka for a bill of exchange that was due in May 1948. He also informs him that he has attached a copy of the authenticated bill of exchange to register the mentioned debt and pay the sum as soon as possible, otherwise, legal action will be taken against them.
