A Letter from Hisham Halawani to His Wife, Waela, 21 October 1984
Handwritten, this letter is from Hisham Halawani at Nafha Prison to his wife Waela and son Helmi at Sowaneh Neighbourhood in Jerusalem on 21 October 1984, where he wrote the names of authors he recommended his wife to read for, dividing the authors into bourgeois, opportunists and good authors who express the issued of their people, as he also saw that texts and theories that help writers strengthen their abilities. At the end of the letter, he recommended she reads for Hanna Mina, Tahar Ouettar, Ghali Shukri, Samih al-Qasim, Tawfiq Ziad, Ghassan Kanafani and others.
