A Letter from Hisham Halawani to His Wife, Waela, 21 October 1984
Handwritten, this letter is from Hisham Halawani at Nafha Prison to his wife Waela and son Helmi at Sowaneh Neighbourhood in Jerusalem on 21 October 1984, where he expressed his longing for the family, his joy after receiving some portraits of his son Helmi, as he was joined in this joy by his cellmates who are impatient to receive Helmi's letter, and at the end of the letter, he expressed how much he misses his wife, who crossed his mind while reading poetry by Picasso Wailer, so he quoted "Bread for all, roses for all, we have all sworn to walk in giant steps and the road is not long", and he ended his letter by asking her to find the names of his brothers' wives and children for him, so he could make crafts in their names.
