Marriage Contract of Helmi Halawani and Rashida Kadamani, Jerusalem, 15 May 1943

Issued by the Government of Palestine, this marriage certificate is in the name of 20 years old Helmi Sadeq Halawani and 17 years old Rashida Issa Kadamani at as-Sowanah Neighbourhood in Jerusalem on 15 May 1943, for a prompt dowery of 100 Palestinian pounds and deferred dowery of 40 Palestinian pounds. The contract included the details of paying the doweries, the names of witnesses and power of attorneys, the signatures of the witnesses at the end and a postage stamp with the name of Palestine in the 3 languages Arabic, English and Hebrew.
