A Letter from Hisham Halawani to His Wife, 1981
Handwritten, this letter is by Hisham Halawani at Bir al-Sabi Prison to his wife Waela at as-Sowana Neighbourhood in Jerusalem on 12 May 1981, where he wrote of his wish to help his cellmate, Hajj Khaled, by opening space for his children and wife to visit instead of Waela visiting Hisham because his family was only able to visit once in 2 years, he also asked her to visit his friend Imad Maatouq's house, as his family lives at Ibn Rushd street in Shuafat in Jerusalem, and at the end of the page, he sent his greetings to all family and friends.
