A Letter from the British Deputy Consul General W. H. Harper to Anwar Nusseibeh, 13 July 1960
Found in the Sari Nusseibeh Collection, owned by his father Anwar Nusseibeh and printed in English, this document shows a letter titled "Urgent" from the office of the British Deputy Consul General, W. H. Harper, to Anwar Nusseibeh on 13 July 1960, where he asks about the legal framework within Jordanian law for a marriage between a man residing in the Republic of Ireland and a follower of the Roman Catholic faith, and a British woman living in the United Kingdom (UK) and a member of the Church of England, both of whom are requesting marriage according to the rites of the Roman Catholic Church, and therefore the sender asks Nusseibeh about how to act towards this type of marriage called mixed marriage, especially since they do not belong to the same religious sects.
