Contract of Tenancy between Abdulrahman Abdulmajid and Abdulfattah Ibraik, Nablus, 1962

Printed in 1962, this document shows a contract of tenancy between Abdulrahman Abdulmajid and Abdulfattah Salim Ibraik from Nablus. The contract details the conditions of tenancy including the payment of five Jordanian dinars for a full year starting from 1 Muharram 1382 and ending on 30 Dhul-Hijjah; corresponding to 4 June 1962 and ending on 24 May 1963. Other conditions include that at the end of the lease term, the tenant is obliged to hand over the key to the landlord, and if he is late, he shall pay for each day a double rent until the premise is vacated and handed over back to the landlord- the tenant is not entitled to change the premise without the written permission of the landlord and is not allowed to lease the leased premise to another without obtaining the permission and consent of the landlord in writing.
