Contract of Tenancy between Abdulfattah Ibraik and Hisham Sabry

Printed in 1961, this document shows a contract of tenancy between lessor Abdulfattah Salim Ibraik from Nablus and tenant Hisham Sabry from Qalqilya. The contract details the conditions of tenancy (of a room and facilities) including the payment of thirty Jordanian dinars for a full year; five JDs paid at the end of each month, starting from 1 Muharram 1380 and ending on 30 Dhul-Hijjah. Other conditions include that at the end of the lease term, the tenant is obliged to hand over the key to the landlord, and if he is late, he shall pay for each day a double rent until the premise is vacated and handed over back to the landlord- the tenant is not entitled to change the premise without the written permission of the landlord and is not allowed to lease the leased premise to another without obtaining the permission and consent of the landlord in writing.
