A Contract of Tenancy between Fo'ad Qarqash and Abdelfattah Ibraik, Jerusalem, 27 August 1952
Printed in Arabic on 27 August 1952, this document shows a contract of tenancy between lessor Fo'ad Hasan Qarqash and tenant Abdelfattah Salim Ibraik where the lessor agrees to lease two shops in the Bab al-Khalil area near the Jerusalem Citadel within the Walls of Jerusalem for the amount of 300 Jordanian dinars for 99 years. The document clarifies that the contract was a long-term lease through which the tenant rents the property for 99 years so that he has the right to use it by reconstruction or leasing it to another, and that a fine must be paid if the lessor violates the contract. The contract bears three Jordanian stamps and the signatures of the two parties and three witnesses.
