"Yamma Hati Lithami", a Poem by Rajih al Salfeety
Written in the late 1980s during the First Intifada, this poem expresses Rajih al Salfeety's abhorrence towards his helplessness when he was receiving treatment at al-Makassed Hospital in Jerusalem. He wrote the poem when Tariq, a fellow of his, arrived wounded from Nablus. This two-page poem is entitled "Yamma Hati Lithami (literally means hand me my veil, mother)".
