The Citadel of Jerusalem, the 1920s
Taken in the 1920s, this photograph shows the Citadel of Jerusalem, which was built for the first time during the Roman period, as for the current construction of the Citadel it dates back to the Islamic rule, the Ayyubid, Mamluk and Ottoman periods, and located on the western side of the occupied city of Jerusalem.
