"Remarks on the Political Situation", a Lecture by Nimr Murqus, 11 January 2002

Found in the Nimr Murqus Collection, this document shows a lecture by Nimr Murqus under the title "Remarks on the Political Situation" dated 11 January 2002. He started by mentioning the major events taking place in the world such as the American aggression against Afghanistan under the pretext of anti-terrorism, the tension between India and Pakistan that will lead to a war breaking out, the Hunger Uprising in Argentina, the ongoing Israeli hostilities in the Middle East and the connection between these events is due to the action and greed of imperialist countries such as "The United States of America (USA), the NATO alliances and Israel". Their goal is to control regions of natural resources, especially oil. In addition to opening and stabilising broad markets of their goods, especially weapons. Additionally, he mentions that the pretext used by the USA never happened. Before 1990, the pretext was fighting against the threats of the Soviets and communists. Then, he mentions occupying Afghanistan and the events of 11 September 2001 and the political situation in Iran and Iraq. He also mentions the Israeli occupation of Palestine and the Israeli-Lebanese conflict which turned the victim into an aggressor and terrorist. He also gave examples of the cruelties of the Israeli Occupation forces. On the last page is the attendance sheet for this lecture.
