An Item from al-Ittihad Newspaper, 25 February 1999

Found in the Nimr Murqus Collection, this document shows an item from al-Ittihad Newspaper Issue on Thursday 25 February 1999 in the Articles and Investigations Section which includes an article by "Nabil Odeh" titled "The Mountain That Became A Handful of Dust" regarding the latest Knesset elections and another article by "Yousef Levski" titled "Peres's Utopia" which was written after reading a book called "The New Formation" by "Shimon Peres", who was a prominent leader in Israel's Jubilee, questioning Peres's message in his book. On the other side of this clipping is the "Know your Country and Its History" Section edited by "Iskandar 'Amal" which includes an article by "Yousef Abdou" titled "Will We Forgive and Will We Forget" and another article regarding the Arab College known as "Dar al-Moalemeen". It also includes the announcement of "Khalil Beidas's" passing and an article under the title "al-Ittihad Before 50 years" titled "We Will Remember These Crimes When the Moment of Truth Comes" and another headline titled "New Members in the National Liberation League in Nazareth" which was published 21 February 1949. It also includes an article titled "Refugees Freeze to Death" which is a piece of news published by al-Ittihad Newspaper on the same date the previous news was published. Additionally, this issue includes an article titled "The Communist Party in Haifa Appoints an Employee to Take Care of Civil Affairs".
