Issue 11 of al-Jadeed Magazine, November 1987

The eleventh issue of the al-Jadeed magazine, a monthly magazine for progressive national thought and culture, was founded in 1951 and printed in the Union Cooperative Press in Haifa, issued in November 1987 under the supervision of its first editor Hanna Naqara and its editor-in-chief Salem Jubran. A painting titled "This is the Key to the house" by the artist Abderrahman al-Muzayyan was printed on the cover. The issue included the following: 1. The talk of the month is titled “In Need of Criticism” by the magazine editorial board. 2. A corner of heritage titled “I Feel for Those in the Levant and Iraq” by the magazine editorial board. 3. An interview with the writer Mustafa Murrar about “The Book of Revolution” by Omar Mahameed. 4. A study titled “Sixty Years Since the Birth of Palestine’s Writer Sameer Azzam” by Ahmad Sarsawi. 5. “The Folklore Song”, a study by Khaled Awad. 6. A study in the philosophy of literature and arts titled “What Is Aesthetics” was made by several scientists. 7. A poem titled “Zaman ad-Dahaya” (The Time of Victims) by Saleem Mekhwali. 8. A poem titled “Ala Nolha” (On Its Own) by Murid al-Barghouthi. 9. 8 poems by Ibrahim Nasrallah. 10. A short story titled “Human” by Adnan Abbas. 11. A short story titled “The Last Seizure” by Najib Sosan. 12. A story from Ecuador titled “God’s Ninth Commandment” by Pedro Jorge Vera 13. A corner of heritage titled “Dogs Barked Me” by the magazine editorial board. 14. Presenting and analyzing the biography of writer Ibrahim Nasrallah by Amjad Naser. 15. A corner of books to announce Arab and international books issued recently. 16. A presentation of monthly cultural activities.
