Issue 1 of al-Jadeed Magazine, January 1987

The first issue of the al-Jadeed magazine, a monthly magazine for progressive national thought and culture, was founded in 1951 and printed in the Union Cooperative Press in Haifa, issued in January 1987 under the supervision of its first editor Hanna Naqara and its editor-in-chief Salim Jabran. The issue included the following: 1. The talk of the month is titled “Frustrating the Conspiracy and Confronting Challenges” by Salim Jabran. 2. The second episode of the study of the University Students Association in Nazareth, by Ziad Shaliout. 3. A study on the thought of Emile Touma titled "The Importance of the Scientific History of the Struggle of the Palestinian People," by Mohannad Abdel-Hamid. 4. An interview with film director Michel Khleifi about the film "The Galilee Wedding" by Ziad Fahoum. 5. A literary study titled "Tolstoy When He Tells" written by K.N. Lomonov. 6. A media corner from the heritage titled "Ubaid Allah bin al-Har al-Jaafi" written by Adel al-Amel. 7. Rubaiyat of poetry by Shakib Jahshan. 8. Poetry titled "Al-Hulm Bil Hulmi Eltehamon Aw Bedayah” (The Dream of a Dream is a Cohesion or a Beginning) by Hussein Faour. 9. From contemporary Hebrew poetry "They Do Not Kill the Child Twice" by Dalia Rabikovitch. 10. From contemporary Hebrew poetry, two poems by Meir Faziltir. 11. A story titled "Abu Shehadeh Stops Joking" by Suhail Kiwan. 12. A story titled "Ibn Ayush" by Mustafa Murrar. 13. A story titled "The Path of the Sheets" by Yousef Jamal. 14. A study on the financial oligarchy in Israel titled "The People of Concession" by Hanna Ibrahim. 15. A tale from the heritage titled "I only marry Karim." 16. Various cultural news.
