Issue 4 of al-Jadeed Magazine, April 1984
The fourth issue of the al-Jadeed Magazine, a monthly magazine for progressive national thought and culture established in 1951 and printed at the Union Cooperative Press in Haifa, was issued in April 1984 under the supervision of its first editor Hanna Naqqara and its editor-in-chief Emile Touma. The issue included the following: 1. An article titled "When the Writer is a Fighter" by Anton Shalhat. 2. An article titled "The War Dictated Our Literary and Cultural Writings" by Emile Touma. 3. An article titled “Writing in and Away from Experience” by Salman Natour. 4. An article titled “I Could Not Save Myself Except by Writing” by Samih al-Qasim. 5. A poem entitled "Anta Tadri Kam Nohebok” (You Know How Much We Love You) by Samih al-Qasim. 6. Ali Ashour's speech at a memorial service for Muin Bseiso in Jerusalem. 7. Soviet story "My Grandmother Fotyny" by Georgi Gulia. 8. A Bulgarian story titled "Traveling with Uncle Ganyo" was written by Aleko Konstantinov. 9. A story titled "The Game of Units" by Adnan Jaber. 10. A story titled " Teacher X" by Hanna Ibrahim. 11. A study titled "The Arab in the Zionist Theater (Second Chapter)" by Fouad Awad. 12. A study titled "The Israelite in the Local Arab Story (Chapter Three)" by Antoine Shalhat. 13. A study titled "The Migrant Poet, Rashid Salim al-Khoury" by Samir Haj. 14. A study titled "The Oriel Dementia" by Eugenie Jurgen. 15. Interview with Azerbaijani artist Namek Zeynalov. 16. A study titled "Trawid" by Rosa Samaan. 17. A study titled "The Scar on the Victim" by Nimr Nimr. 18. A study titled "The Essence from the Letters of the Safa Brothers" by Ali Ashour. 19. An article titled "The Teacher has Every Right to Engage in Political Activity" by Osama Halabi. 20. An article titled "Our Students and Politicization" by Amir Mkhawwel.
