Issues 7 and 8 of al-Jadeed Magazine, July and August 1982
The seventh and eighth issues of the al-Jadeed magazine, a monthly magazine for progressive national thought and culture established in 1951, were issued in July and August of 1983 under the supervision of its first editor Hanna Naqqara and its editor-in-chief Emile Touma and printed at the Union Cooperative Press in Haifa. The two issues included the following: 1. Al-Jadeed opinion titled "National and International Legitimacy". 2. An article titled "Where has the National Liberation Movement Reached in the World" by Emile Touma. 3. The Second National Festival of Palestinian Literature in the Occupied Territories. 4. Two chapters from the novel "The Siege" by Salman Natour. 5. The story "Premeditated" by the Soviet writer Anton Chekhov. 6. An article titled "On the Margins of the Koshan Collection by Muhammad Nafaa, The Story and Tales of Popular Memory" by Faisal Darraj. 7. A conversation with intellectuals Hussein Marwa and Muhammad Amin al-Alem about issues of thought and literature in the Arab world, by the Yemeni poet Abdullah al-Baradouni. 8. A story titled "Juha al-Nabulsi" by Afnan al-Qasim. 9. A story titled "The Missing Thing" by Jamal Bannoura. 10. An interview with director Riad Masarweh, conducted by the Iraqi New Culture magazine, and the interview was conducted by Hamid al-Khaqani. 11. An article titled "Notes of a Book Reader (Earth, Man, and Effort)" by Nayef Salim. 12. A critical article for the poetry collection "Exit from the Silence" by the poet Osama Halabi, prepared by Nour Amer. 13. Recently released books.
