Issue 10 of al-Jadeed Magazine, October 1978
The tenth issue of the al-Jadeed magazine, a monthly magazine for progressive national thought and culture, founded in 1951 and printed at the Union Cooperative Press in Haifa, issued in October 1978 under the supervision of its first editor, Hanna Naqqara, and a painting by a Chilean artist titled “Fascism” was printed on the cover and another painting By Kamal Melhem, titled "Resilience". The issue included the following: 1. Al-Jadeed opinion. 2. Universal Declaration of Human Rights. 3. A lecture titled "The Arabs in Israel - The Thirty Years' War for Survival and National Identity." 4. A story titled "Here is the Petrol of Wheat and Palm" by Ahmad Yousef. 5. A poem titled "Song of the Class Enemy" by Bertolt Brecht and translated by Riad Masarwa. 6. An article on the book "The Shaheed Kamal Jumblatt" by Nabih al-Qasim. 7. A chapter from Fadwa Touqan's memoirs titled "Exit from the Arab Bottle". 8. A story titled "Almond Trees Are Never Late" by Zaki al-Ayla. 9. A critical article titled "Mohammed Nafaa in his (Friendly) Collection" by Fakhri Saleh. 10. A poem titled "Raya Jameela” (A Beautiful Banner) by Ali al-Khalili. 11. An article titled "Laughter at the Stoning of Dammam in Three Dimensions" by Fakhri Saleh. 12. An interview with the poet Abdel-Karim al-Karmi abu Salma by Yahya Khalaf. 13. Poetry titled "Al-Khaledan ash-Shaab Wal-Watan” (The Immortals, the People and the Homeland) by Abdel-Karim al-Karmi abu Salma. 14. An article titled "The Camp David Accords and International Law" by Tawfiq as-Sulh.
