Issue 6 of al-Jadeed Magazine, June 1974
The sixth issue of the al-Jadid magazine, a monthly magazine for progressive national thought and culture, was founded in 1951 and printed in the Union Cooperative Press in Haifa, issued in June 1974 under the supervision of its first editor, Hanna Naqqara. The issue included the following: 1. Al-Jadeed opinion titled "In Memory of Two Revolutions". 2. An article titled "Ash'arism - Ideology of the Feudal Age" by Emile Touma. 3. An article titled "Socialism and Freedom of Art" by Aganov. 4. A story titled "The Sermon of a Stupid Man in Hyde Park" by Muhammad Ali Taha. 5. An article titled "Arabic Calligraphy - A starting point for your modern Arabesque (paintings)" by Sudanese artist Mohamed Ahmad Shebrin. 6. A poem titled "Eid Wa Masah” (Eid and Tragedy) by Munib Makhoul. 7. A poem titled "Ma Tabaqqa Li” (What's Left of Me) by Khalil Touma. 8. A poem titled "Onshodah Lel-Ard Wales-Sawaed al-Hamraa” (A Song of the Land and the Red Forearms) by Sharif abu Saber. 9. A critical article titled "The Wind and the Sail" by Salim Khoury. 10. A poem titled "Ashawk Wal-Wurood” (Thorns and Roses) by Mufleh Tabooni. 11. A poem titled "Sowar Men al-Madinah” (Pictures from the City) by Wahib Nadim Wahba. 12. A critical article titled "The Other Side of Surat al-Yasmeen" by Mu'in Hatoum. 13. A story titled "Five Cases in One Night" by Nabil Odeh. 14. “Earth” a poem by Andrei Voznesensky. 15. A story titled "The Streets" by Issam Khoury. 16. A poem titled "Al-Farashah” (The Butterfly) by Adwan Majid. 17. The al-Jadeed Club Corner.
