Issue 3 of al-Jadeed Magazine, March 1974
The third issue of the al-Jadeed Magazine, a monthly magazine for progressive national thought and culture established in 1951 and printed in the Union Cooperative Press in Haifa, was issued in March 1974 under the supervision of its first editor, Hanna Naqqara. The issue included the following: 1. Al-Jadeed opinion on the theatrical movement. 2. An article titled "Israel After the War, the Imbalance of the Military Institution's Balance" by Saliba Khmayyes. 3. The story "The Wedding" by Muhammad Ali Taha. 4. An interview with the poet Samih al-Qasim, by the Jordanian Afkar magazine. 5. A poem by Amin Makhoul. 6. Poetry titled "Lafetah Amam Mahkamet al-Akademeyyah al-Askareyyah” (A Banner in Front of the Military Academy Court) by Hashem Shafiq. 7. A conversation between the new editor, Samih al-Qasim, and the writer Dan Ben Ammots. 8. An article titled "From the Poetry of War in Israel" by Ibrahim al-Bahrawi. 9. Reading in the book "Zionism and its Role in International Politics" by Wolfe Ehrlich. 10. A story titled "What is Facilitated from Surat al-Loba" by Nabil Odeh. 11. An article about Salam Salam, an Azerbaijani painter, who won the Gamal Abdel Nasser Prize, by Eduard Hovcisov. 12. Three poems by Atallah Jabr. 13. "The World Wonders Who Killed Pablo Neruda", an article by Boris Kozlov. 14. A story about the soldier Mater Dolorosa, by Lee Bromethe, translated by Khalil al-Maadidi. 15. An article on "The Saga of Freedom", the poetic collection of Tawfiq Ziyad, prepared by Ibn al-Khattaf. 16. An article on "The Wind and the Sail", the poetic collection of Jamal Kawar, by Fawzi Abdullah. 17. A story titled "Late Reportage" by Hanna Ibrahim.
