Issues 10 and 11 of al-Jadeed Magazine, October and November 1973

The tenth and eleventh issues of the al-Jadid magazine, a monthly magazine for progressive national thought and culture, established in 1951 and printed at the Union Cooperative Press in Haifa, were issued in October and the second in 1973 under the supervision of its first editor Hanna Naqqara and editor-in-chief of the issue Samih al-Qasim. The two issues included the following: 1. Al-Jadeed opinion titled “Let It Be Clear” by Samih al-Qasem.  2. An article titled “The Dean of Arabic Literature-Taha Hussein” by the magazine’s editorial board.  3. An article titled "Zionism and the Turkish Revolution of 1908" by Emile Touma. 4. The "Wounded Soldier" painting by the Palestinian artist Abed Abdi. 5. An article titled "A Letter from Prague" by Tawfiq Ziyad. 6. A poem titled "Trumbuza in the Arteries of Petrol" by Muhammad Ali Taha. 7. An article titled "A Window on Arabic Literature" by Ibn Khaldun (a pseudonym). 8. "Reportage from the Continent of Hope", article by Yevgeny Yevtushenko. 9. A poem titled "When the Cannons Wither, the Poems Lose their Weight" by Pat Yehuda. 10. A story titled "The Man Who Lost His Colour" by Nabil Odeh. 11. A poem titled "Asda Men al-Layl al-Abyad” (Echoes from the White Night) by Fouad al-Khishn. 12.
