Issue 5 of al-Jadeed Magazine, May 1973
The fifth issue of the al-Jadeed magazine, a monthly magazine for progressive national thought and culture, founded in 1951 and printed at the Union Cooperative Press in Haifa, issued in May 1973 under the supervision of its first editor Hanna Naqqara and chief editor Samih al-Qassem, and a painting by Abed Abdi titled " The Journey of the Four Points, from the Trilogy of the Palestinian Man". The issue included the following: 1. Al-Jadeed opinion titled “Let It Be Clear” by Samih al-Qassem. 2. An article titled "Mordechai Abi Shaul" by the editorial board. 3. An article titled "The Right-wing Thought in Egypt-The Thought of the New Pashas" by Samir Saad. 4. A story titled "The Objective" by Muhammad Ali Taha. 5. An article titled "My Position on the Hebrew Writers Syndicate" by Suleiman Natour. 6. A poem titled “Layla Adeyya” (An Ordinary Night) by M. A. 7. An article titled "Palestinian Folk Art" by Mahmoud as-Sutuhi Abbas. 8. A story titled "The Death of Black Hair" by Zakaria Tamer. 9. An article titled "The Legal Status of Arab Education in Israel" by Muhammad Miari. 10. An article titled "Issues of Theory and Method in Soviet Literary Criticism" by Alexander Myasenkov. 11. A poem by Roca titled "An Elegy for Gnacio Sanchis Machias" translated by Siham Daoud. 12. Lorca's poem "Portrait of the Deputy Chief of Police" translated by S. A. 13. A story titled "The Undistorted Face" by Issam Khoury. 14. An article titled "The Russian Ballet - The Best Ballet in the World" by Najda Fathi Safwa. 15. An article titled "Arabic Literature is the Most Popular Oriental Literature in the Soviet Union." 16. A story titled "The Prophecy" by Sharif abu Saber. 17. An article titled "We Have to Discover Our Heritage."
