Issues 6 and 7 of al-Jadeed Magazine, June and July 1959
The sixth and seventh issues of the al-Jadeed magazine, a monthly magazine for progressive national thought and culture established in 1951, were issued in June and July 1959 under the supervision of its first editor Hanna Naqqara and printed in the Union Cooperative Press in Haifa. The issue included the following: 1. The talk of the month titled “A Year Since the Revolution of Immortal July”. 2. An article titled “Communism and National Heritage” by Emile Habibi. 3. A poem titled “Resala Ela Asia” (A Letter to Asia) by Mohieddin Fares. 4. A story titled “The Livelihood of Children” by Abu Nidal. 5. A story titled “On the Train” by Soorayaru. 6. An article titled “Lights and Shades” by Hanna abu Hanna. 7. An article titled “The Soviet Genius Exhibition” by Djelin. 8. A poem titled “Ela Waladi” (To My Son) by Issa Loubani. 9. An article titled “Vladimir Dimitrov” by Suliman Izzat.
