Issue 9 of al-Jadeed Magazine, September 1958
The ninth issue of the al-Jadeed magazine, a monthly magazine for progressive national thought and culture established in 1951, was issued in September 1958 under the supervision of its first editor Hanna Naqqara and printed in the Union Cooperative Press in Haifa. The issue included the following: 1. The talk of the month titled “The Victims Will Scream Until the Oppression is Lifted”. 2. An article titled “Thaher al-Omar” by Tawfiq Muammar. 3. A poem titled “Oyoun Tatanahad” (Sighing Eyes) by Hanna abu Hanna. 4. An article titled “The Development of Contemporary Women's Poetry” by Mohammad Mandour. 5. “Stiff Numbers”, a story by Samim ash-Sharif. 6. A poem titled “Resalah” (Letter) by Mahmoud Darwish. 7. A story titled “Blue Curtains” by Olfat Adlabi. 8. An article titled “Lights and Shades” by Shua’a Thafer. 9. An article titled “These Paved the Way” by Mushi Fujman. 10. Cultural, artistic and literary collection from Palestine, the Arab world and the world.
