Issues 8 and 9 of al-Jadeed Magazine, August and September 1957
The eighth and ninth issues (August and September 1957) of the al-Jadeed magazine, a monthly magazine for the National Progressive Vision in 1951. The two issues were printed under the supervision of the magazine's first editor Hanna Naqqara and its editor-in-chief Antoine Shalhat at the Union Cooperative Press in Haifa. The two issues included the following: 1. The talk of the Month titled “The Arab Writers and Intellectuals Association.” 2. An article titled "Hayy Bin Yaqzan" by Emile Touma. 3. A poem titled "Ash-Shaero al-Matbou-Shaero Qawmehi" (The Printed Poet - The Poet of His People) by Issam al-Abbasi. 4. A poem titled “Hekayat Kefah" (A Story of Struggle) by Issa Loubani. 5. An article titled "Love and Courage". 6. An article titled "Using Motive Power in China" by Yuhsin Chu. 7. An Egyptian story titled "Lawahez" by Mohammad Sedky. 8. An article titled "The Sun Rises on Tajikistan" by Ibn Khaldun, "a pseudonym". 9. An article titled "Study Books in Israel" by Sh. Odette. 10. Literary and scientific news.
