Issue 10 of al-Jadeed Magazine, September 1956
The tenth issue of the al-Jadeed magazine, a monthly magazine for progressive national thought and culture established in 1951, was issued in September 1956 under the supervision of its first editor Hanna Naqqara and printed in the Union Cooperative Press in Haifa. The issue included the following: 1. The talk of the month titled "Welcome to the Conference of Curators of People's Lives and Heritage". 2. An article titled “Ghazal in Arabic Poetry” by Jabra Nicola. 3. An article titled "Arab National Culture in (Israel)" by Emile Touma. 4. An Israeli story titled "The New Book" by Adeeb Salam. 5. An Egyptian story titled "Small Dreams" by Abdel Rahman Sharkawi. 6. An article titled "Folk Arts in Egypt" by Ibn Khaldun, "a pseudonym". 7. A conversation with Shuaa bin Diya conducted by Hanna abu Hanna. 8. A poem titled "The End of the Day" by George Naguib Khalil. 9. A critical article titled "Majnoun Laila in (Tel Aviv)" by Adib al-Qass. 10. A poem titled "Ash-Shaer" (The Poet) by Ahmad Tawfiq Saeed. 11. Literary, scientific and cultural news.
