Issue 4 of al-Jadeed Magazine, February 1954
The fourth issue of the al-Jadeed magazine, a monthly magazine for progressive national thought and culture established in 1951, was issued in February 1954 under the supervision of its first editor Hanna Naqqara and printed in the Union Cooperative Press in Haifa. The issue included the following: 1. The talk of the month, titled “Let the Cultured Be Rid of their Fears”. 2. An article about “The Forgiveness Letter” of al-Ma’arri by Jabra Nicola. 3. A poem titled “Taamal Baeedan Bi Ofoqen Raheeb” (Look Far into the Vast Horizon” by Issam Abbasi. 4. An Israeli story titled “Intruders” by Hanna Ibrahim. 5. A Chinese story titled “Bow”. 6. An Egyptian story titled “Ameena” by Mohammad Sedqi. 7. An article titled “Science in the Service of Man”. 8. A song titled “Our Path” by Hanna abu Hanna. 9. The al-Jadeed mail corner. 10. Literary, scientific and cultural news.
