An Issue of the Palestine Newspaper, 22 April 1948
Found in 1911 by Issa Dawood al-Issa, this issue of the Palestine Newspaper is dated 22 April 1948, which is a political, news and illustrated newspaper, the issue includes several subjects and headlines such as: 1- A delegate from Egypt and another from Iraq announced their agreement to the principle of trusteeship over Palestine, but on the condition that Jewish immigration is halted and the partition resolution rescinded. 2- The end of the battle between the Arab militants and the Jewish convoy near Bab al-Wad on the main road between Jaffa and Jerusalem. 3- The teachers of Jaffa schools carried out a campaign to collect donations for the victims of Deir Yassin village, in which all students participated. 4- The Political Committee of the Arab League held a meeting to discuss the latest developments in the military situation in Palestine. 5- The Palestine newspaper is sent by plane to Beirut. 6- The Arabs occupied two dangerous military centres in the Upper Galilee in the north of Palestine, one in "Ras an-Naqoura" and the other in "an-Nabi Yushaa", and the Arab forces began to clash with the Jewish forces.
