An Issue of the Palestine Newspaper, 21 April 1948

Found in 1911 by Issa Dawood al-Issa, this issue of the Palestine Newspaper is dated 21 April 1948, which is a political, news and illustrated newspaper, edited by Dawood Bandali al-Issa the issue includes several subjects and headlines such as:  1- Discussions between King Abdullah and the President of the Higher Arab Commission will lead to new developments in the Palestinian cause. 2- The meeting of the Political Committee of the League of Arab States to discuss the latest developments in the situation in Palestine. 3- An attack by the Haganah from three directions on the village of Siris, located on the road to Jerusalem. The villagers stood in the face of the Jewish advance. 4- The representative of the Palestine Railway Workers Syndicate of the Arab Workers Association met with the Director-General of Palestine Railways and presented him with the demands of the workshop workers who were suspended from their work. 5- The Jewish newspapers expect the closure of the potash project in the Dead Sea, which is the largest Jewish project in Palestine, and the employees of this project received letters of dismissal from their work at the end of the mandate. 6- The heroes of Salama village managed to shoot down one of the Jewish planes, where they pointed their automatic weapons at it and hit it. 7- The Arab Women's Union received 9 pounds from the students of the Orthodox College in Jaffa through the Palestine newspaper, as an aid to the victims of Deir Yassin. 8- An announcement by the Jaffa Food Importers Association stating that the government has allocated quantities of food items such as flour, sugar and canned meat to Jaffa, Gaza, Be'r as-Saba, Khan Yunis, Majdal and Lod.
