Issue No. 226 of the Official Palestine Newspaper, 1 April 1931
Issued on 1 April 1931, this document shows issue no. 280 of the Official Palestine Newspaper featuring official government announcements including an announcement regarding settlement in some villages, an announcement regarding the initiation of settlement from the tithes area, the application of the city planning system to Nablus, night telegram messages to Lithuania and Free Ireland, an announcement on summer clothes of Saadeh, lists of the movement of immigrants to Palestine and those displaced from it, goods recovered from the sea, quarantine and communicable diseases, in addition to official government announcements regarding laws and legislation and amendments thereto. The issue was printed in Azriel Press in Jerusalem, where the price of the copy was fifty mils and was published twice a month. Said official government announcements and amendments include: The amended railway bill of 1931. Implementation of the amended customs tariff law “No. 3” No. 2 of 1931. Cancellation of permits to acquire Palestinian citizenship. Certificate under the Expropriation Law - Police School in Jerusalem. Order under the Pensions (Civil Government Service) Act 1925. An order under the Customs Law of 1929 - prohibiting the import of explosives into Palestine. Orders under the Urban Property Tax Law are as follows: an order regarding the tax to be collected in the years 1931-1932, orders to form a review committee in Beit She’an, Nablus, Tiberias, Tulkarm, and Jaffa, and an order appointing an appellate review committee in Jerusalem and Beisan. An order under the Town Planning Law, which is the ratification of the Mount Ebal planning project in Nablus. Orders under the Land Settlement Law, which came as follows: the minimum parcels in some villages, and granting the assistants of the settlement commissioners additional powers. A system under the Tax Collection Act. Revised rabies regulation of 1931. Declaration under the Dangerous Drugs Act. Declaration under the Customs Duty-Free Act of 1928. Announcements under the Municipal Elections Law, namely: the appointment of the head of the Safed Municipal Council and the Acre Sub-Municipal Elections.
