Taken by Sam'an Sahhar on 6 January 1949, this photograph shows the Greek Orthodox Patriarch’s deputy, next to him, is the Egyptian administrative governor of Bethlehem District and the military governor of Jerusalem Abdullah al-Tal, in addition to the mayor of Bethlehem Isa al-Bandak and the Kaymakam, during their reception of the Patriarch’s deputy in Manger Square, who came to participate in the celebration that will be held the next day on the Greek Orthodox Christmas.
