A Draft of a Handwritten Poem by Khalil Touma, Beit Jala
Handwritten in Arabic and found in the Khalil Touma Collection, this archival item documents a draft of a poem by Khalil Touma where he appears to be talking to his homeland saying "Oh, sunrise this is my home" then describing it saying "I saw your pale face from the north all the way to the south", he also expresses how he would never forget talking about his homeland even if he was night sky gazing outside of his tent. It is worth mentioning that Touma started his journey of writing poetry back when he was a high school student and issued a collection of different poems.
