Food Distribution to Palestinian Refugees, September 1949
Taken by photographer Ali Za'arur in September 1949, this photograph shows Palestinian refugees including men and children receiving food such as milk and bread, provided during the implementation of the Refugee Assistance Project organised by the Jerusalem Office of Refugees in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). It also shows a Palestinian woman pouring milk into a pot. Meanwhile, Abdel-Karim al-Alami and a fellow colleague are shown supervising the process of providing food for the refugees.
