Supervising the Food Distribution to Palestinian Refugees, September 1949
Taken by photographer Ali Za'arur in September 1949, this photograph shows Palestinian refugees including women, men and children receiving food such as milk and bread, provided during the implementation of the Refugee Assistance Project organised by the Jerusalem Office of Refugees in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). Additionally, a Palestinian woman is shown stirring milk in the pot. Meanwhile, Abdel-Karim al-Alami and a foreign inspector are standing to supervise the process of providing food for refugees.
