Issued on 16 September 1931, this document shows issue no. 291 of the Official Palestine Newspaper featuring official government announcements including suspending the lists of rights and property in some villages and announcing the settlement of lands in Lod, villages free from animal diseases, and announcing the Haifa municipality regulation regarding the use of a yard as a parking lot for public vehicles, teachers’ certification exams and others, lists of the movement of immigrants to Palestine and those displaced from it, and lists of quarantine and communicable diseases, in addition to official government announcements regarding laws and legislation and amendments thereto. The issue was printed in Azriel Press in Jerusalem, where the price of the copy was fifty mils and was published twice a month. Said official government announcements and amendments include: Implementation of the amended Cinema Condition Law No. 5 of 1931. Appointment of consuls. Appointment patent under the Code of Criminal Procedure (regarding testimony) for the year 1927. A project to implement the amended Palestinian Nationality Law, cancel the citizenship affiliation permit and also revoke the naturalization certificate following the same law. Certificate under the Land Expropriation Law regarding the creation of an artificial lake over the Jordan River Dam. Two orders under the Urban Property Tax Law, which are an order regarding the tax category to be levied in the Bethlehem area and an order to appoint a member to the Hebron appraisal committee. An order under the Land Settlement Law authorizing additional powers to assist settlement commissioners. An order under the Cinema Requirement Act regarding fees. An order under the Quarantine Law regarding travellers entering Palestine from Syria and Iraq. Declaration under the duty-free law. Declarations under the Animal Diseases Act regarding the declaration of some villages as endemic areas. Declaration on the entry of immigrants from the country assigned to the Republic of Haiti.
