Marriage Contract, Deir Dibwan, 27 September 1919
Dated 27 September 1919, this archival item shows two marriage contracts. The first is for Abdel-Majid Salem and Hasba Sulieman Salamah az-Zagheri from the village of Deir Dibwan in Jerusalem, in which the dowry's down payment amounts to 45 Egyptian pounds and its deferred payment amounts to 5 Egyptian pounds. Whereas, the second is for Mohammad ad-Daghlawi and Rashida Othman Mohammad from the same village, in which the dowry's down payment amounts to 55 Egyptian pounds and its deferred payment amounts to 5 Egyptian pounds, bearing multiple Ottoman stamps of the witnesses and a stamp of the Mukhtar of Deir Dibwan.
