"The Olive Tree", a Book by Ali Nasouh Taher, 1947
Printed in Arabic, this 651-page document shows a book titled "The Olive Tree, Its History, Cultivation, Diseases, and Industry" by Ali Nasouh al-Taher, graduate of the Agricultural Institute of the University of Sciences in Nancy- France and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture in Amman. It was published by the Taher Brothers Library in Jaffa and printed by the Jordan Press- Amman in 1947. The book is divided into several chapters, the first of which are titled "History of the Olive Tree", in which the writer touched on the history of the olive tree in many Palestinian cities such as Safed, Acre, Tiberias and others, its history outside Palestine such as Syria, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria and other countries of the Arab world, in addition to the history of the tree in Europe.
