The Diary of Fadeyyeh Darabe, Dura- Hebron, 1990
Written from February to October 1990, this 59-page document shows the diaries of Fadeyyeh Darabe, in which she described the weather, continuing her religious practices and detailed the time she spends in Dura- Hebron with her relatives and neighbours during their happy and sad times. Darabe owns a grocery and an orchard with vineyards and olive trees, so she makes sure to write down their financial accounts. She also mentioned some family disputes over their land, and dealt with the political situation in Palestine in general and Hebron in particular, speaking about the attacks of the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) against Palestinian workers, and noting the consequences of that in later demonstrations and strikes, and also documents the memories of the IOF's arrest of her son Khalil, who was in secondary school, and the continuous follow-up of his file with the Palestinian Red Cross.
