The Diary of Fadeyyeh Darabe, Dura- Hebron, 1996

Written in 1996, this 386-page document shows the diaries of Fadeyyeh Darabe, where she described her and her family's lives and mentioned her social relations. Darabe made sure to write down all her financial accounts, her connection to the land, her medical follow-ups at the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) clinic and her efforts to provide her children's educational fees. In her diaries, we also see the customs and traditions of the Dura community including the rituals of Eid al-Adha and Rahm feasts (A common Palestinian tradition in several villages and cities, where men invite their kin to a Ramadan Iftar feast), she also mentions some familial disputes during the year, losing a sum of money, the people of Dura preparing to receive Yasser Arafat (Abu Ammar), the political climate in Palestine especially the violation of the Israeli Occupation against Dura, and the murder of Yahya Ayyash.
