Commission of Deputies Notebook, Tulkarm, 1908-1922
This document shows a notebook, which includes several minutes of meetings held by the Ottoman Committee of Deputies in the district of Tulkarm between the years 1324 and 133 AH, corresponding to 1908 and 1922 AD, where the Committee supervised and monitored the elections that were held in the district and Abdel-Rahman al-Hajj Ibrahim headed them. The minutes were divided into those related to the first parliamentary elections in 1908, the minutes of the municipal council elections in Tulkarm, the second parliamentary elections in 1912, the third parliamentary elections in 1914, the elections for members of the Tulkarm Municipal Council in 1920, and the elections for the Supreme Council. The notebook included several appendices, including one on the election law of the Ottoman Parliament, another on the right to vote and one on elections, as well as lists of names of voters and candidates.
